The Good and The Bad

The good news, as of Tuesday, is that 36 companies have stopped running their ads on the Glenn Beck show.
The bad news is that his show is still being aired on Fox.

The advertisers are still running ads on Fox News, just not during the two hours Beck's show is on the air. I don't know how much it hurts them in terms of actual revenue. It may just be a scheduling headache.

We should push for the advertisers to drop ALL ads for Fux.

With no Fairness Doctrine or any other regulation, the pocketbook is the only weapon we have against the propaganda that they spew.

It isn't even the fact that the insurance/pharma industries are organizing townhall disruptors that worries me so deeply, it is the fact that the teabaggers BELIEVE all that shit is what is so disturbing.

It is frightening to look at the crowd of people around you at your local Publix and think about what is going on in their heads. Just scratch the surface of the normal, Hi, Howareyas, and there are some seriously misinformed, frightened and armed people out there.

on a forum I visit, I've seen FRWN's threatening to boycott the companies that have pulled their ads from Beck.

so, we know what we have to do -- buy their products as often as we can.

Interesting dilemma for Beck: Either keep acting like a jerk and lose his advertisers, or start behaving like a normal human and watch his ratings decline.
